Tatu, or gumnuts, and quandong seeds are collected during the summer months when the art centre is closed. They are cleaned and the outer shell of the quadong removed, and a hole drilled through. Then they can be decorated with paint or hot wires and threaded into necklaces.

The small red  Ininti seeds are collected from the bean tree, or bat-wing coral tree. When the season is right ladies will collect the seeds and dry them out. Narrow pieces of wire are heated over a fire, and a hole is burnt though the middle of each individual seed, then left to air out.

This necklace has been left natural with just a few markings on each gumnut.
